Deeside Community Action Team was set up to organise local events for the community.

Amongst their more notable achievements is the DeeCAT music festival. This event allows local bands to showcase their talent, and gives them an opportunity to gain a wider audience and greater access to the local music scene.

On the 26th July 2008, thirteen bands came together for a memorable event - DeeCAT 2008.
